= 82 x (10-1)
= 820 - 82

= 1234 x (100-1)
= 123400 - 1234

Multiply of Number closer 10 power
Example 1= 996 * 999
= 996 is 4 less than 1000
= 999 is 1 less than 1000
= ( 4 x 1)
= 004 (since base is 1000 make it 004)
= (999 - 4) or (996 - 1) = 995
= 99504 (append 04 at the end of 995)
Example 2= 994 * 995
= 994 is 6 less than 1000
= 995 is 5 less than 1000
= ( 6 x 5 )
= 030 (since base is 1000 make it 030)
= (994 - 5) or (995 - 6 ) = 989
= 989030 (append 04 at the end of 995)
Example 3= 98 * 95
= 98 is 2 less than 100
= 95 is 5 less than 100
= ( 2 x 5 )
= 10 (since base is 100 make it 10)
= (98 - 5) or (95 - 2 ) = 93
= 9310 (append 10 at the end of 93)
Multiplication of 11 with any 3 digit Numbmber
Example 1= 162*11
= 1(1+6) (6+2)2
= 1782
Here insert the sum of first and second digits, then sum of second and third digits between the two terminal digits of the number
Example 2= 209*11
= 2 (2+0) (0+9) 9
= 2299
Example 3= 329*11
= 3 (3+2)+1 (9+2-10) 9
= 3619
If sum of two digits of the number is greater than 10, then add 1 to previous digit and subtract 10 to the associated digit.
Example 4= 999*11
= 9+1 (9+9)-10+1 (9+9-10) 9
= 10989
Square of any Number ending with 5
252 = (2x3)25 = (6)25 = 625

= 101 is 1 more than 100

= 101 + (Last Digit) = 101 + 1
